News and Events

Schebler Food Equipment is proud to have our own Division Manager of Food Equipment Britt Brockhage as a technical support instructor for the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s upcoming summer course on confectionery technology. This will be Brockhage’s fifth year providing his knowledge and expertise in confectionery science and equipment usage to students participating in this resident course.

Teaching students about the varieties of panning methods, Brockhage will teach students the ins and outs of using a mini-Revolv® belt coater in comparison to a traditional tulip pan technique with the help of equipment donated by Schebler.

“Many of these students either have never experienced belt coating or they haven’t done it a lot,” said Brockhage, “so it’s really cool to let them see the difference with real equipment comparing belt panning to traditional pans and get hands-on application experience.”

The 2016 course will go July 25 – Aug 5 under the University’s Department of Food Science, and this “Candy School” has attracted more than 1,200 from all over the world over the past 50 years.
